Second Post of the Day

Ralph and I have been taking a few pictures again so bear with me in this post as I show you some of them. Ralph tried growing tomatoes for the first time this summer and in his defence before I post the picture I must say that we did have a crappy summer but having said that I don't think Ralph inherited a green thumb. The tomatoes are setting beside an apple which will give you some idea of their size, haha. George if you did not lose your tomatoes to the snow out in Calgary send me a picture of some of your tomatoes and we will put them up here so everyone can compare yours to Ralph's. So doesn't one of the tomatoes look just like a green grape? That's how big it is.

We are going up to the airport tonight to pick up Joe and Tricia who are coming back from a week in Kingston. We are not taking them home to their apartment because that Rolling Stones concert is tonight in Halifax and their apartment is right on the commons where the concert is being held so we would not be able to get anywhere near it for the traffic. The picture is one I took last night to show how close to the concert area their apartment is.
The other two pictures I took as we were driving by the Commons. The stage area for tonight's concert is huge. I think someone said that it is 20 stories high. There were lots of people standing around the fence and taking pictures . Note the pretty blue sky in the pictures. That was last night around six o'clock. Quite a different story tonight the day of the concert. It is dark and drizzly. I am glad that I did not pay $99.00 to stand in an open field for 9 hours with 40, ooo other people in the rain. I am sure there will be many stories to come out of this. Can't wait to hear the news tomorrow. Couple of the people I work with are going so I will have to get the scoop from them on Monday. Gotta go get supper. Talk at ya later.

I saw some of the Rolling Stones on the news last night. Did not hear how the weather turned out, but they said it was going rain or shine.
Ralph I am so proud of you, you are great gardener. Our Dad would be proud. Now George I want to see how yours compare to Ralph's. Love Flo
