In case you are wondering, and I know you are, about the name of this blog, let me enlighten you. Many, many moons ago when I was a child on the south shore everyone it seemed had a nickname- a lot of which were bestowed by my Father - mine was Dode. I don't know how to type the name so that you know how to pronounce it other than it sounds like "doughed".
Had Trish up to South Branch today to see her other Grandmother and Ralph stained their front deck. It was very hot and sunny up there, a nice day all in all.
I am being really good about updating this blog. Wonder how long it will last? Velvet, did you get Chris to start one for you yet?

First Holiday Week Gone

I cannot beleive that my first week of holidays is already over. The weather has not co-operated. I don't think I have had one day this week that was totally hot and sunny. Trish and Joe are loving this weather as they got away for a while from the heat and humidity of Ontario. The photo on the right is the beach across from my Mom's house on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Beautiful, isn't it? Hardly anyone ever goes there. It makes a beautiful walk up the beach to "Crow's Neck" and back. San loves this beach, she calls it hers. I am just getting ready to do my workout. Get it over good and early then off shopping with the girls.

Thursday, July 28, 2005

Just read in the paper this morning that Moriarty is going to run for president of the U.S. I would think that being on "Law and Order" and then being a barfly in Halifax for years makes him more than eligible for the job.
Tricia and Joe are both home from Ontario. San is getting ready to go back to Toronto to write her exams. The weather here is still not great for July.
Just my second post on this blog. Hope it works.
Baccaro lighthouse along with my two nephews, Brett and Drew.
