Well congratulations to Joe who successfully defended his Doctoral thesis today at Queens University in Kingston, Ont. We can now all call him Dr. Joe as he has a PhD behind his name. Trish and Joe flew up to Kingston yesterday and now they can just relax and enjoy the rest of the week, reuniting with old friends and coworkers and eating at all of their old favourite places.
Flo sent me this picture today that was taken from the front deck of the cottage. We have been having some beautiful weather here the last few days which makes for spectacular sunsets and sunrises as you can see from this picture.
We have been terribly busy at work lately. It is always that way when courses start up. Ralph was away for a few days last week and next week he goes to Winnipeg for the week. Jake and I do okay alone so far.
So George and Rosie you can look at the above picture and remember what summer is like as you guys struggle with the snow you got last week. Please keep it out there in the West as our summer was so bad we need to make this nice weather last as long as we can.

Congrats! to Dr Joe or Dr McMillan, great work, he may not be able to help us with a heart attack, but he will be able to read our stars. Now you have two Drs in the house, Cheers, Flo
